Nike Issues Statement On Trump's Withdrawal From Paris Climate Agreement

Earlier today, President Donald Trump announced his intention to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Accord, saying that the agreement is "very unfair at the highest level to the United States." The pact, aimed at fighting climate change by limiting carbon emissions, adopting clean energy practices and phasing out fossil fuels, was agreed to by 195 different countries in 2015. According to outlets like Green Label, more than 50% of Americans in every state support remaining in the agreement.

Nike, a company that hasn't shied away from speaking out against Trump's policies and ideas, is opposing the decision to withdraw. The company issued the following statement, as first shared by Sara Eisen:
