Storied fashion magazine Vogue and its editor-in-chief Anna Wintour have collaborated with Jordan Brand on a first-of-its-kind collection of women's sneakers.
Adorned with Wintour's trademark "AWOK" approval stamp, this range includes the Air Jordan 1 Zip AWOK and the all-new Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK. The former updates the zip-equipped variation of the Jordan 1 with traditional Swoosh branding, soft sail and university red leathers, a metallic zipper which covers Wintour's stitched signature on the tongue, and an "AWOK" graphic on the translucent outsole.
As for the Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK, a full look has not been revealed, but the sneakers appear to feature tweed as a nod to Wintour's suits. It will release in black and red colorways.
Both models come equipped with "edited by Vogue" hangtags in premium boxes with suede dust bags. The Vogue x Air Jordan 1 Zip AWOK drops in both colorways on Saturday, July 21 at Hirshleifers, Kith, Nordstrom x Nike, and Jordan's 306 Yonge Toronto and 32 South State Chicago locations. A SNKRS release will follow on Monday, July 23. Meanwhile, the Vogue x Air Jordan 3 SE AWOK will be released on September 7.
UPDATE (08/20): More images have been unveiled by Nike of the upcoming "AWOK" Vogue x Air Jordan 3. Red and black pairs are given tweed uppers, special hang tags, and Anna Wintour's "AWOK" signature on the heel tab.
