Never one for subtlety, Virgil Abloh's first show at the helm of Louis Vuitton's menswear division delivered in a big way this morning from Paris Fashion Week. Among a plethora of printed popovers and technical fabrics were the sneakers that social media can't stop talking about.
First seen in teaser shots and on the feet of ASAP Rocky yesterday, the high-top sneakers have an obvious Air Jordan 3 influence, one which Abloh didn't shy away from, going as far as to include a LV hangtag designed to mimic the Jordan's Jumpman and Nike Air accessories. On social media, the model has been compared to vintage looks from Avia.
A release date for Abloh's Louis Vuitton sneakers has yet to be announced, but a low-top variation of the shoe has already made its way to friends and family including Don C, who shared several looks at a white and green colorway.
