As a parent, sometimes you have to get creative with punishments. That's exactly what happened to one young man who was recently profiled by Humans of New York.
"My mom found out I was skipping school. When I came home, she told me that she'd bought something for me and put it in my room," he said. "When I went in my room, everything was gone...My LeBrons were gone. My Jordans were gone. My Kobes were gone. All she left me was a pair of Reeboks."
While we can't help but feel his pain, we're willing to bet that he got the message loud and clear and won't be skipping class again anytime soon. Besides, at least he still has the Reeboks.
