When the Nike Kobe 1 Protro was unveiled last month, one of its biggest selling points was its addition of modernized tech in comparison to the OG Zoom Kobe 1 from 2005. Seemingly the same from the outside, what lies inside the new model are similar yet advanced components—and now there are images to prove it.

What were once individual forefoot and heel Zoom Air bags have been consolidated into a single full-length setup, which in turn allowed for a tweaked carbon fiber midfoot shank.
