Nike's done some pretty unexpected things with the Air Max 95 recently, including woven jacquard constructions and winter-ready sneakerboot makeovers, but this latest update has to be the craziest one we've seen yet.

Pictured here is a sneaker known as the Nike Air Max 95 Empire, which sees the human anatomy-inspired runner take on a radical high top look. Here, the Air Max 95's traditional midsole tooling remains the same, but its upper gets redesigned from the ground up for a silhouette that can only be described as part Huarache, part boxing shoe. It's avant-garde to say the least, but the exaggerated profile isn't too far off from the recently unveiled KD 8 Elite.

There is no official information or release details for the Air Max 95 Empire, however you'll be able to find a full list of stockists for these and more from tierzer0.com as soon as they're made available.
