After surfacing in teaser form last month, the women's-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Satin "Shattered Backboard" is almost here, and it could be even better than most had expected.
Jordan Brand officially confirmed the sneakers today, providing a fresh batch of images along with new details. While the satin makeover may receive mixed reactions from purists, the brand went to great lengths to replicate the feel of the 2015 original. The satin shoe's mid-panel uses the same sail-colored tumbled leather found on the OG, which has become the de facto quality benchmark for current Air Jordan 1s.
While this is a women's exclusive, not all hope is lost for guys. The sneakers will be available in sizes up to 12, which is the equivalent of a men's 10.5.
The Air Jordan 1 Satin "Shattered Backboard" releases on Saturday, May 5 for $160.
