Dominic Chambrone, better known to sneakerheads as The Shoe Surgeon, has been shaking things up for awhile now with his hybrid designs and re-constructed looks, but we definitely didn't see this one coming.

His latest project lifts the rubber midsole and shell toe from the adidas Superstar and transplants them onto the Ultra Boost's Primeknit upper. At the heel and support cage, he added cuts of black Horween Leather for a touch of elegance. According to Chambrone, these were actually made months ago for fun, which means they probably won't be getting the "Misplaced Checks" release treatment, at least not anytime soon.

This is an interesting concept to say the least, but we'd really like to see what he could do with a Superstar upper and Ultra Boost sole.
