Shortly after yesterday's adidas Futurecraft 3D announcement, we learned that the sneakers won't be available for purchase until the summer of 2016 at the earliest. While the majority of us will be forced to wait it out, our friends at Germany's Turnschuh.tv already got their hands on a prototype pair.
In the clip, Solebox owner Hikmet Sugoer and partner Simon Bus talk about a few of the things they liked — and didn't like — about the futuristic sneakers. Both are extremely impressed with the overall concept and the possibilities that Futurecraft brings to the table, with Sugoer imagining a setup that will allow sneaker stores like Solebox to create their very own versions using a specialized yarn.
The pair make it a point to note that despite the upper's similarities to the Ultra Boost, this is a completely new sneaker. According to them, the Futurecraft's 3D-printed midsole isn't quite as cloud-like and responsive as Boost, however they say that it's still extremely comfortable and actually feels more stable.
