Jordan Brand is bringing back an Air Jordan 7 colorway for the first time since 2006, Nike is celebrating the history of the Air Force 1 by revisiting some concepts from the ‘80s, brands like Stüssy and Brain Dead are dropping off their latest collabs, and New Balance continues its impressive output with some inline releases of its own.

What You Need to Know: Two colorways of Union’s Cortez collaboration will be hitting Nike SNKRS on Wednesday. The “Lemon Frost” and “Light Smoke” color schemes each share details like a woven textile upper inspired by the diverse communities of Los Angeles, Union branding tab on the lateral eyelets, suede Swooshes, Crater Foam midsoles, and Nike Grind outsoles that lean into sustainability.

Nike Air Force 1 'Color of the Month'

Price: $150

What You Need to Know: Nike is nodding to the history of the Air Force 1 by bringing back two “Color of the Month” pairs from the ‘80s. The nickname refers to a series of custom colorways that were ordered by Baltimore shop owners at the time. A new color scheme would release each month. The program helped the Air Force 1 maintain its cultural relevancy and grow into the icon we know it as today. These two pairs each feature white leather uppers and gum bottoms with your choice of either red or blue detailing.

Nike Air Max Penny

What You Need to Know: Following up a two-pair collab from Social Status, Nike is bringing back the OG colorway of the Penny 1. The Orlando Magic color scheme features a black nubuck upper, white rubber overlay, blue jewel Swoosh on each lateral side panel, and Penny’s logo stitched on each heel.

Nike Air Force 1 'Little Accra'

When: Friday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: This special colorway of the Air Force 1 is meant to celebrate New York City’s Ghanaian community. The “Little Accra” embroidery on each heel tab is a nod to the area of the Bronx that is heavily populated by Ghanian residents. Other details on the sneaker include red satin overlays, intricate gold foil stitching, gold dubraes that each feature Ghanian symbols, and special insoles.

Nike Air Huarache Crater

Price: $135

When: Friday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: This new Huarache release features a unique twist. The neoprene usually present on the side panel and toe box has been replaced with a wicker-like pattern made of recycled materials. Furthering the sustainable approach to the ‘90s design, the outsole is made of Crater rubber. Olive green leather overlays complete the earth-toned colorway.

Stüssy x Nike Air Max 2013 'Fossil'

What You Need to Know: The “Fossil” colorway from Stüssy’s recent Air Max 2015 collaboration is getting a wider launch later this week. The pair features a perforated canvas upper, Stüssy branding on the lateral eyelets, painted-over Air bubble, and black reverse Swooshes applied to each side of the heel.

Brain Dead x Reebok Club C

What You Need to Know: Brain Dead’s latest Reebok collab is its take on the popular Club C. The pair has been remixed with a tennis ball-esque blue upper, brown leather overlays, and fuzzy green rope laces. What You Need to Know: The “Citrus” Air Jordan 7 is returning to shelves for the first time since its debut in 2006.
