Welcome to the Space Jam. The sequel to the 1996 cult classic starring Michael Jordan finally hits theaters this Friday. To celebrate the summer blockbuster starring LeBron James, Nike has cooked up plenty of special footwear.
Fans will have multiple Space Jam: A New Legacy-inspired sneakers to choose from when the movie releases on Friday. Ahead of the extensive collection of Nikes and Converses, Nike is dropping off the patchwork “Legacy” Air Max 90 colorway. Other big drops this week include Cardi B’s latest work with Reebok on the Classic Leather and a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 that is reminding people of the popular “Shattered Backboard” theme thanks to its orange accents.

Women's Nike Air Max 90 'Legacy'

What You Need to Know: This upcoming Air Max 90 release is a sustainable women’s design. Dubbed the “Legacy” colorway, the pair features patchwork uppers constructed of pieces of fabric that would otherwise be discarded during the production cycle. Each pair will also feature removable heel tabs that add a bit of personal customization to the equation.
'Space Jam: A New Legacy' x Nike
Price: $60-$160
When: Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: After months of promotion, Space Jam: A New Legacy is finally releasing this Friday. Coming with it is a full collection of sneakers from Nike for the whole family. Two Air Force 1 are up for grabs. One features a white leather upper, blue details, and Bugs and Lola Bunny stitched on each respective tongue and lateral Swoosh. The other Air Force 1 is a black option covered in an iridescent computer chip pattern. Rounding out the pack is a trio of LeBron 18 Lows nodding to notable rivalries within the Looney Tunes universe such as Wile E. Coyote vs. Roadrunner, Sylvester vs. Tweety, and Bugs Bunny vs. Marvin the Martian.
'Space Jam: A New Legacy' x Converse

What You Need to Know: Converse is also releasing its own Space Jam: A New Legacy-inspired collection this Friday. Two pairs of Chuck 70s are dropping on SNKRS. One features large chenille embroidery to of the Tune Squad logo and LeBron’s “6” jersey number. The other option utilizes an all-over computer chip print and various members of the Tune Squad printed across each upper.
Cardi B x Reebok Classic Leather
Price: $110
When: Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m.
Where: reebok.com and other select retailers
What You Need to Know: After multiple iterations of the Club C, Cardi B turns her attention to the Classic Leather for the latest chapter of her Reebok partnership. The monochromatic colorway is constructed of yellow nylon with suede overlays. Pull tabs and a lug sole have also been added.
Air Jordan 1 'Electro Orange'
Price: $170
When: Saturday, July 17 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: The “Electro Orange” Air Jordan 1 is the latest colorway of the popular model that is slated to hit retailers. The pair features “Black Toe”-esque colorblocking with bright orange leather wrapping the heel. Given the color palette, many people are referring to these as the fourth installment of the fan-favorite “Shattered Backboard” series.
