A Complete Guide to This Weekend's Sneakers Releases

This week of sneaker drops includes new offerings from Nike, Jordan Brand, Adidas, Puma, and Vans.

The drops start on Wednesday with two pairs from Nike's latest "Be True" pack celebrating the LGBTQ community. They continue on Thursday with the "Multicolor" Air VaporMax Inneva, Kim Jones' latest work with Nike, the first retro of the KD IV, and the most recent offering from The Weeknd's partnership with Puma.

On Friday, Jordan Brand delivers a premium "Particle Beige" Air Jordan III colorway for the ladies. What You Need to Know: Continuing its annual tradition, Nike is releasing the first two pairs of this year's "Be True" collection honoring National Pride Month on Wednesday. A white, translucent Zoom Fly SP sports LGBTQ symbols like the rainbow flag and pink triangle on each heel, multicolored detailing throughout, and "BETRUE" written in black on the tongue and insole. The Epic React Flyknit opts for a more subtle approach with a black Flyknit upper, rainbow-colored outsole, pink triangle on the heel, and "BETRUE" hits on the heel pull tab and insole.

What You Need to Know: This upcoming iteration of the Nike Air VaporMax Inneva is a significantly more colorful approach than previous releases. What You Need to Know: Kim Jones' latest Nike project has birthed a brand new high-top silhouette inspired by his three favorite silhouettes from the brand: the Footscape, Vandal, and Air Max 97. Dubbed the Air Max 360 Hi, the model's upper is very similar to the Vandal and sports a nylon strap around the ankle, but opts for an asymmetrical lacing set-up borrowed from the Footscape. The upper sits on top of a chunky, 360-degree Air Max bubble. Special "Kim Jones" branding can be seen on the strap and midsole. Black and white options will be available alongside a full collection of apparel.

What You Need to Know: Nike's latest installment of its "Art of a Champion" pack is the very first retro release of the KD IV. This colorway of KD's fourth signature model resembles a PE worn by Kevin Durant in Game 6 of the 2012 Western Conference Finals during a 34-point, 14-rebound performance to help propel the Oklahoma City Thunder to the NBA Finals. Durant has since jumped ship to go play for the Golden State Warriors, but this colorway matches their team colors just fine as well.

What You Need to Know: The Weeknd and Puma continue their partnership this week with the launch of a black-and-white version of the XO Parallel. This pair sports a black nubuck upper, white leather detailing, and tonal "XO" branding on the tongue. The military boot-inspired sneaker sits atop a white midsole with Ignite cushioning, and features a zipper down the heel for easier on-and-off.

What You Need to Know: Following its recent trend, Nike is delivering another premium rendition of a classic Air Jordan model exclusively for the ladies. A beige nubuck covers the upper of this Air Jordan III, while bronze accents the eyelets, heel, and Jumpman logo on the tongue. A cream midsole and outsole act as hits of contrast on this luxurious pair.

What You Need to Know: European retailer size? has linked up with Nike to drop an exclusive colorway of the Air Max 95. This pair is inspired by the OG colorway of 1987's Nike Air Safari. Grey and orange safari print panels make up a majority of the upper. Black hits are used on the tongue, heel, and midsole. A subtle hit of tan suede is can also be seen on the toe. This is the first of a duo of "Safari" pairs dropping from size? in the coming weeks.

What You Need to Know: The popular Nike Air Huarache returns this week in a vibrant color scheme. Like OG colorways of the model, white leather and neoprene make up a majority of the upper. Magenta highlights the bootie, while neon yellow is used on the side panels and heel area. The model's signature rubber heel piece and tongue logo are both done in black and neon yellow. To celebrate this pair's slight redesign that makes it more closely resemble the OG from 1991, it will come packaged with a "Have You Hugged Your Foot Today?" pin and wrapping paper covered in ads from the shoe's original campaign.

What You Need to Know: This toned down take on the Nike Flyknit Trainer accents a brown Flyknit upper with pops of orange on the midsole and a tie-dye-styled pattern on the Swoosh in orange, white, and olive green.

What You Need to Know: Vans' latest collaboration is inspired by Marvel's iconic superheroes. Pairs like the Sk8 Hi, Authentic, and Slip-On will be available for the whole family styled with classic art from the comic books. Other pairs are made to resemble the costumes of heroes like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Deadpool. The standout pair from the collection is a "What The"-styled Old Skool inspired by The Avengers that features details for Thor, Captain American, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man.

What You Need to Know: Adidas has redone its Ultra Boost LTD model with Parley's recycled ocean plastic. A majority of the upper, as well as the fabric lacing cage is constructed of the eco-friendly material. Parley and Adidas branding can be seen on the tongue tab. This pair also sports the usual white and ocean blue color scheme commonly seen on many Parley releases from the Three Stripes.

What You Need to Know: Adidas' latest Originals model takes inspiration from 1984's Micropacer silhouette and blends it with a more recent success—the NMD. The overall shape of the Micropacer is used for the upper including its signature tech panel tongue overlay. The difference is, the panel is merely for show this time around and not operational. The Boost midsole and heel tab are components brought over from the NMD.

What You Need to Know: The "Supermoon Yellow" Yeezy 500 is finally getting a wider release. This colorway originally debuted in December 2017 when it was offered on the Yeezy Supply website. However, you could only obtain a pair if you copped a bundle of Yeezy Season apparel that retailed for a ridiculous $760. Thankfully, that will not be the case this time around. This is the second colorway of the Yeezy 500 to hit retail. Earlier this year, the "Blush" pair initially dropped at NBA All Star Weekend in Los Angeles before getting a more widespread release as well.

What You Need to Know: Perhaps in an attempt to capitalize off the success of Sean Wotherspoon's hybrid that combined the Air Max 97 and Air Max 1, Nike is releasing another Air Max hybrid this weekend. This time, the upper of the Air Max 1 has been fused with the midsole of the Air Max 90. The pair uses the classic color scheme from the "University Red" AM1, but replaces the usual suede and white mesh upper with a premium leather.

What You Need to Know: Originally released in 2004, the "Melo" Air Jordan II returns this weekend. The special Denver Nuggets PE colorway of MJ's second signature celebrates the early years of Carmelo Anthony's career as a young superstar in the Mile High City. Slight changes include Melo's logo replacing the Jumpman on the insole, and his jersey number "15" replacing "23" on the inner tongue.

What You Need to Know: Travis Scott's latest sneaker collaboration is an Air Jordan IV colorway celebrating his hometown of Houston. The colorway takes inspiration from the colors of the now-defunct Houston Oilers NFL team. A baby blue suede upper is accented by hits of black and red. Special nods to La Flame include the logo for his Cactus Jack Records label on the left heel and right insole, as well as his name written upside down on the inner tongue.
