Jordan Brand bringing back a fan-favorite colorway from the 2000s and Aimé Leon Dore dropping off some more pairs of 550s to add to the weekly rotation highlight this week’s release calendar.

Other major drops include Nike SB’s nod to classic JanSport backpacks, New Balance’s massive drop for Grey Day, Palace’s ‘90s-inspired takes on the 991, and Nike honoring San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood with new colorways of the Dunk High and Air Force 1.

Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 550

What You Need to Know: Aimé Leon Dore is dropping the two newest colorways of its popular New Balance 550s later this week. For this installment, ALD has swapped out the usual leather uppers for taupe or brown suede. Finishing touches across both pairs include cream accents, co-branded tongues, and ALD’s apple basketball logo on the left heel.

Atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III 'Python'

What You Need to Know: Atmos has released two colorways of its “Python” Asics Gel-Lyte IIIs in the US for the first time. One pair features a black nubuck upper, tonal leather overlays, and minimal green details on the toe and heel. The other pair opts for cream nubuck, white leather, and grey stripes. The nickname nods to the python pattern used on the Asics stripes on each pair.

Nike SB Dunk Low 'Backpack

What You Need to Know: Nike SB’s latest Dunk Low is inspired by the JanSport backpacks that many of us have toted to to school at one time or another. A navy blue canvas upper and tan suede toe are meant to mimick the look of the quintessential backpacks. A hidden zipper pocket and big loop on the tongue complete the theme.

Nike Air Force 1 'Lotus Flower'

What You Need to Know: This Air Force 1 is meant to honor San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood. It features a white leather upper and pink gradient hits on the Swoosh and midsole. Other details include a lotus flower debossed into the lateral heel, icy outsole, and 舊金山 (Gau Gam Saan, or “Old Gold Mountain”) in gold on the tongue and insole.

What You Need to Know: Nike is also celebrating San Francisco’s Chinatown with the “Gold Mountain” Dunk High. The name is inspired by the Gold Rush stories of Gold Mountain that attracted many immigrants to the area in the 1800s. This pair features a white leather upper, grey suede overlays, tan hairy suede Swoosh, a forest green liner, icy blue outsole, and Gold Mountain graphic stamped on the lateral heel.

Nike Air Zoom Generation 'Wolf Grey'

What You Need to Know: While some of us are still eagerly awaiting the release of the all-purple colorway of LeBron James’ first signature sneaker, Nike is dropping off another tonal Air Zoom Generation in the meantime. This simplistic colorway features a mix of grey leather and suede across its upper. LeBron’s original logo appears on each tongue.

What You Need to Know: Fragment’s latest collaboration with Converse sees it put its signature colorway on the ’80s basketball classic, the Weapon. The white, black, and royal blue design comes complete with Fragment’s lightning bolts debossed on the lateral heel and co-branded insoles.

Women's Air Jordan 11 Low 'Yellow Snakeskin'

What You Need to Know: Jordan Brand’s latest women’s offering is a summery colorway of the Air Jordan 11 Low. This pair features a white leather upper and the 11 Low’s signature snakeskin mudguard. Bright hits of Tour Yellow cover the snakeskin and outsole.

Palace x New Balance 991

What You Need to Know: Palace’s latest footwear collab features two interpretations of the New Balance 991. The outdoors-inspired colorways nod to ‘90s running hiking gear. What You Need to Know: New Balance is celebrating Grey Day, a nod to the brand’s signature all-grey sneakers, with a massive collection. Grey suede versions of the 9060, 998, 550, Fresh Foam X More Trail v3, Numeric Tiago Lemos 808, Numeric Jamie Foy 306 will all be available. Round out the offering is a Made in USA collection complete with navy blue accents that includes the 990v4, 996, 990v6, and 998.

Nike Zoom Vomero 5 'Mystic Navy/Worn Blue'

What You Need to Know: The latest colorway of the trendy Zoom Vomero 5 hits shelves on Friday morning. This take on the 2010 runner sports a combination of Mystic Navy and Worn Blue across its mesh and leather upper. White accents on the Swoosh, laces, and midsole break up the colorful pair.

Air Jordan 4 'Thunder'

What You Need to Know: Following up the shock drop last month, the latest retro of the “Thunder” Air Jordan 4 is finally getting its wider releases on Saturday. Originally released back in 2006, the pair features a black nubuck upper and Tour Yellow accents. Branding comes in the form of a white Jumpman on the tongue and heel, as well as an upside down “Air Jordan” stitched on the inner tongue.
