Nike and Jordan Brand dominate this week of sneaker releases with retro basketball drops, new signature sneakers, and a handful of high profile collabs.

The drops kick off on Wednesday this week with the arrival of the “HWC” LeBron 8 and “University Blue” Air Jordan 4. On Thursday, the “Smoke Grey” Air Jordan 35, two pairs of the Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle, and “Gen Zion” Jordan Zion 1 all make their way to select retailers. Friday features the “LeBronald Palmer” LeBron 18 Low, “Barely Green” Air Foamposite One, and is highlighted by the “British Khaki” Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6. Things wrap up on Saturday with the release of the “Red Flint” Air Jordan 13.

Nike LeBron 8 'HWC'

What You Need to Know: As many eagerly await the return of the “South Beach” LeBron 8 later this year, Nike is serving up another memorable colorway of LeBron James’ eighth signature model. While it never officially released, many fans remember this royal blue and orange colorway that was created to match the Cleveland Cavaliers Hardwood Classics jerseys. Since the 8 launched as LeBron was on his out of Cleveland, many New York Knicks fans also became excited at the possibility of this being a “Knicks” colorway that hinted at his new home in NYC. It did not. But that won’t stop plenty of Knicks fans from rocking these with their gear.

Air Jordan 4 'University Blue'

What You Need to Know: The latest Air Jordan 4 colorway hitting stores is a riff on a player exclusive previously given to athletes at Michael Jordan’s alma mater. The pair is covered in University Blue suede with cement print accents on the straps, heel tab, and midsole. A special tongue tag is also used similar to the branding tag that has been used on previous PE-esque general releases from Jordan Brand as of late.

Air Jordan 35 'Smoke Grey'

Price: $175

When: Thursday, April 29 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Following a slight delay, the Air Jordan 35 arrives in a new “Smoke Grey” color scheme this Thursday. It features a suede upper, quilted detailing on the heel panel, and infrared branding hits to add a subtle pop of color.

Sacai x Nike VaporWaffle

Price: $180

When: Thursday, April 29 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Sacai continues its ongoing work with Nike with two new colorways of the VaporWaffle in “Sesame/Blue Void” and “Dark Iris.” These pairs differ from the first fw VaporWaffles by replacing the mesh upper with nylon. Each pair also features suede overlays, a leather heel panel, and the signature double-layered look that has become a constant across all Sacai x Nike releases.

Jordan Zion 1 'Gen Zion'

Price: $120

When: Thursday, April 29 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Zion Williamson’s first signature sneaker, the Zion 1, is dropping in a “Gen Zion” colorway this week. The pair features a simplistic black and white upper with “Zion” printed across the lining. Subtle gold details can also be seen stamped on the toe and heel of each shoe.

Nike LeBron 18 Low 'LeBronald Palmer'

When: Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Nike Basketball revitalizes the “LeBronald Palmer” color scheme on the LeBron 18 Low this Friday. The pair is dressed in the summery yellow, orange, and green color scheme with a palm print covering a majority of the upper.

Nike Air Foamposite One 'Barely Green'

Price: $230

When: Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: A new coloway of the Air Foamposite One is releasing later this week. The pair features a textured black Foamposite shell and sits atop a glowing green outsole. The heel tab features a special emblem commemorating the 2021 NBA All-Star Game in Indiana that never took place (it was moved to Atlanta).

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 6 'British Khaki'

When: Friday, April 30 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Travis Scott’s second Air Jordan 6 collab is set to release this Friday, the same day that the rapper will be celebrating his 29th birthday. The “British Khaki” version covers the pair in khaki suede. The cargo pockets, crimson red detailing, and Cactus Jack logos make their way over from the first pair to complete the design.

Air Jordan 13 'Red Flint'

When: Saturday, May 1 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: Jordan Brand puts a spin on th popular “Flint” Air Jordan 13 by replacing the OG blue mesh paneling with red. The rest of the shoe’s details remain the same, like its white tumbled leather upper and grey suede overlays. The addition of red makes the shoe a perfect match for anyone throwback Bulls gear you may want to rock with these this summr.
