This weekend, NBA All-Star Weekend is taking place in Los Angeles. To celebrate the occasion, Nike, Jordan Brand, and Adidas decided to release an insane amount of sneakers. While it is almost impossible to touch on every single thing coming out over the next few days, here are some of the best releases that will be available over the course of the weekend's festivities.
The releases start on Valentine's Day with the Air Jordan III "Free Throw Line," a pair that takes inspiration from Michael Jordan's 1988 NBA Slam Dunk Contest dunk from the free throw line. The following day, Nike Basketball will be releasing special All-Star Game PEs of its four main signature models: the LeBron 15, KD X, PG 2, and Kyrie 4. Jordan Brand will also be releasing a special version of Russell Westbrook's Why Not Zer0.1 model he will be rocking in the All-Star Game on Thursday as well.
On Friday, Jordan Brand continues its extensive offerings with the releases of the "Black/Metallic Gold" Air Jordan I NRG and black and white versions of the "OVO" Air Jordan VIII. Also releasing on Friday is two new colorful renditions of the Air Force 1 High designed by Riccardo Tisci, the "All-Star" colorway of the Under Armour Curry 4, and the second chapter of Kith's "Long Live the King" collection with Nike that will also help usher in the grand opening of Kith's newest flagship location in Los Angeles.
Saturday will house the rest of the packed weekend of releases. The long-awaited "Wheat" Nike Air Zoom Generation is getting the retro treatment along with the a re-tooled version of the Nike Kobe 1 dubbed the Kobe 1 Protro. The Kobe 1 Protro will be dropping in its OG black and yellow color scheme, as well as collaborative colorways created by L.A.'s UNDFTD. Miami's SoleFly will also be releasing its own collab, the "Reverse Lightning" Air Jordan XVII Low.
Perhaps the most anticipated release of the weekend is the "Black Cement" Air Jordan III, complete with "Nike Air" heel branding, that is making its return this Saturday.
Last but not least, Adidas is hosting a weekend-long event at 747 Warehouse St. in Los Angeles that will give those who attend the opportunity to purchase limited releases like the BAPE x Adidas Dame 4 collection, Futurecraft 4D, Crazy BYW, Yeezy 500 Desert Rat "Blush," and more.
