This week is packed with tons of new releases including multiple Air Jordan retros, an unlikely collaboration between the NBA and Nike SB, Tom Sachs' latest Nike model, and more.
Drops start on Wednesday with Nike releasing the "NY vs. LA" pack, as well as two new colorways of the Air Max 97/BW hybrid model. Adidas is also delivering pairs early in the week with the debut of the Yung-96 in three colorways on Wednesday as well.
Coming on Thursday is a trio of React Element 87s from Nike, an exclusive release of the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe, special options from Nigel Sylvester on Nike iD for the Air Force 1 Low, JW Anderson's latest Converse collection, and Puma's re-entry into the basketball market with the Clyde Court Disrupt. Friday provides two colorways of Nike's new Air Huarache Gripp, tonal React Element 55s for the ladies, the return of Charles Barkley's Air Force Max CB in a "Suns" color scheme, the debut of the Adidas Harden Vol. 3, and Daniel Arsham's latest effort with the Three Stripes.
Closing out the big sneaker week are two Adidas Yung-1s exclusive to Sneakersnstuff, a Halloween-themed Kyrie 4, NBA x Nike SB collection, winter-ready Air Jordan IX Boot, first retro of the "Black/Sport Royal" Air Jordan XVIII, and a "South Beach" Air Jordan VIII. Nike 'NY vs. LA' Collection

What You Need to Know: Nike is releasing an Air Max 95 and Blazer Mid inspired by the east versus west coast rivalry with each foot on both pairs corresponding to a respective coast. The final product is the "NY vs. LA" pack of mismatched pairs that utilizes the colors of the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. The Blazer Mid features a black suede upper, 3M Swoosh, orange and yellow laces, special insoles, and 'NY' and 'LA' embroidered on the left and right heel, respectively. The Air Max 95 takes a similar approach with a black upper, colorful laces, mini Swooshes added to the lateral toe, and multiple lace options for further customization.

Nike Air Max 97/BW

What You Need to Know: The Nike Air Max 97/BW returns this week in two brand new colorways—"Persian Bullet Train" and "Metallic Hematite." The first pair fuses the OG "Persian Violet" and "Silver Bullet" colorways of the Air Max BW and Air Max 97 with a silver upper and purple accents. The other option gives the fusion model a black and iridescent look.

Adidas Yung-96

What You Need to Know: Continuing to add to its lineup of Originals models that fit into the chunky sneaker trend, Adidas is introducing the Yung-96. Similar to the Yung-1, the '90s-inspired low top sports a mesh and suede upper, Trefoil branding on the tongue, and a bulky midsole. Three colorways will help ring in the new model: "Clear Brown/Cloud White/Crystal White," "Carbon/Grey/Solar Yellow," and "Clear Brown/Off White/Solar Green."

Puma Clyde Court Disrupt

What You Need to Know: Puma's first effort into the performance basketball market in two decades is finally set to debut this weekend. Initially unveiled over the summer, the pair pays homage to the classic Clyde silhouette, but updates it for modern performance use with a knit upper, sock-like ankle collar, and a mix of IGNITE and NRGY cushioning in the midsole. Sure to be an attention grabber on the court this season, the Clyde Court Disrupt debuts in a vibrant orange and yellow colorway with a black Puma side stripe. Expect to see the pair on players like DeMarcus Cousins, Terry Rozier, DeAndre Ayton, Michael Porter Jr., Marvin Bagley III, and more throughout the 2018-19 NBA season. JW Anderson x Converse Chuck 70 Felt

What You Need to Know: JW Anderson is releasing yet another collaboration with Converse. This time around, the British designer's obscure material of choice on the Chuck 70 is felt. The cozy fabric even wraps the midsole. "Pink/Green/Blue," "Olive/Orange/Black," and tonal "Olive Green" pairs will all be available. An all-grey pair will also be releasing exclusively at JW Anderson stores.

Nike React Element 87

What You Need to Know: One of the biggest shoes to debut this past summer is back in another trio of colorways this week. Sure to be another lineup of instant sellouts, the Nike React Element 87 is back in New York Knicks-esque "Total Orange," teal and pink "Neptune Green," and "Solar Red" options. Each features the model's signature translucent upper in black and sits atop a React cushioned midsole.

Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard Overshoe

What You Need to Know: To celebrate the premiere of Tom Sachs' latest film Paradox Bullets, Nike is releasing his latest Mars Yard collaboration. Greatly differing from the highly-coveted Mars Yard low top that has released in two variations in the past, the Overshoe takes on the appearance of a moon boot. The silhouette appears to place a Mars Yard 2.0 with a heightened tongue inside of a weatherproof Dyneema covering. Details include white and red nylon straps with magnetic buckles, a toggle system to tighten up the outer covering, polyester inner collar, baby blue rubber on the foxing and toe bumper, and a rugged outsole.
Nigel Sylvester x Nike iD Air Force 1

What You Need to Know: Following up his successful Air Jordan 1 collaboration from last month, BMX rider Nigel Sylvester is releasing exclusive options on Nike iD for the Air Force 1 Low that take cues from '80s and '90s style in New York City. Color choices include black, gold, white, and purple. The timeless sneaker can also be dressed up in premium materials like patent leather, velvet, and satin. Further special details can be added including triple-layered Swoosh branding, gold dubraes, special heel logos, and a mini Swoosh stitched onto the lateral heel.

Nike Air Huarache Gripp

What You Need to Know: As Nike has been known to do over the years, it has once again remixed one of its classic silhouettes. This time, the brand has used Tinker Hatfield's Air Huarache as inspiration to create the Huarache Gripp. The bulky model is designed to weather the elements. It sports a heightened ankle collar with various straps, mesh upper with welded overlays, and detachable shroud emblazoned with a large Huarache logo designed to keep your feet dry even on the rainiest days. Other details include a slightly redesigned heel and renovated traction pattern. The Huarache Gripp will debut in a white and orange "Flight" colorway inspired by astronaut suits, as well as an olive and purple "Fight" colorway inspired by military boots.

WMNS Nike React Element 55

What You Need to Know: Accompanying the three Nike React Element 87 releases in men's sizes is two new pairs of the React Element 55 for the ladies in more casual "Particle Beige" and "Mica Green" stylings. Each sits tonal uppers with slightly different shades used for the detailing atop white midsoles. The major difference on these pairs is the lack of a translucent upper that the React Element 87 is known for. For a premium touch, each pair also features suede hits on the eyelets and heel.

Nike Air Force Max CB 'Suns'

What You Need to Know: Charles Barkley's first Nike signature, the Air Force Max CB, is making its return this Friday. Sporting a Phoenix Suns-inspired color scheme, this pair has a black suede upper, purple and orange accents, a speckled white midsole, and visible Zoom Air unit in the heel. Another notable design element on Chuck's signature is the cross strap system similar to other popular basketball models of the era like the Air Raid and Air Jordan VIII.
Adidas Harden Vol. 3 'Voyager'

What You Need to Know: Adidas drops the first colorway of the Harden Vol. 3 later this week. The "Voyager" colorway of James Harden's third signature sports a silver upper with matching branding hits. Details on the pair that the reigning MVP will lace up for his 2018-19 campaign include an elastic forefoot strap donning the superstar's signature, Harden logo on the tongue, large Roman numeral '13' on the medial side, and a full-length Boost midsole. As will future pairs of the Harden Vol. 3, this particular one takes inspiration from NASA and outer space.
Daniel Arsham x Adidas Futurecraft 4D

What You Need to Know: After some teasers earlier in the year, Daniel Arsham's version of the Adidas Futurecraft 4D is finally set to hit retailers. Acting as the final pair of Arsham's three-part "Past, Present, and Future" project, this sneaker represents the "Future." An aero green Primeknit upper lacking the brand's traditional Three Stripes branding sits atop a matching 4D-printed midsole created using Digital Light Synthesis.

Nike Kyrie 4 'Halloween'

What You Need to Know: The Nike Kyrie 4 is still going strong. The latest pair is a spooky "Halloween" color scheme sporting a black upper with Rage Green accents. The main detail is the green slime dripping from the lateral Swoosh onto the midsole.
NBA x Nike SB

What You Need to Know: To help ring in the 2018-19 NBA regular season, the Association has unexpectedly collaborated with Nike SB on two sneakers and matching apparel. A Blazer Low is given a simple "Triple White" color scheme. The standout from the pack is an SB Dunk Low covered in blue satin to resemble varsity jackets. To make the collab official, NBA logos can be seen on the inner tongue of each pair and the hang tag that will accompany each release.

Air Jordan IX Boot

What You Need to Know: Initially making its retail debut last winter, the Air Jordan IX Boot returns just in time for the upcoming colder months. The shoe largely resembles the original version of MJ's ninth signature, but adds boot-inspired features like metal eyelets and a more rugged outsole. An appropriate "Wheat" nubuck version resembling a class pair of Timbs will be available alongside a black pair with Concord branding hits.

Air Jordan XVIII 'Black/Sport Royal'

What You Need to Know: The last signature model worn by Michael Jordan on the court as a member of the Washington Wizards, the Air Jordan 18, returns in its OG "Black/Sport Royal" colorway from 2002. It features a black suede upper, royal blue detailing, and silver branding hits on the shroud.
Air Jordan VIII 'South Beach'

What You Need to Know: Since the "South Beach" LeBron 8 released back in 2010 to very positive reception, the pink and teal color scheme has found its way onto various Nikes over the years. Now, the Miami Vice color combo has made its way onto the Air Jordan VIII. A white leather upper is peppered with colorful hits on the VIII's signature details like its chenille tongue logo, straps, and midsole pattern.
Nike LeBron 16 'King'

What You Need to Know: This upcoming colorway of the LeBron 16 closely resembles the "NBA 2K14" LeBron 11 that dropped a few years ago. This time dubbed the "King" colorway, this pair features a maroon Battleknit 2.0 upper, gold branding, white midsole, and cheetah print panel wrapping the heel. The exact inspiration for this pair seems to be a photo taken of King James during his rookie year that appears on both insoles.
