This week's lineup of sneaker releases is highlighted by some highly-anticipated Adidas projects—the "Mauve" Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 and second wave from the Dragon Ball Z x Adidas collaboration.

Drops starts early this week with Nike delivering the "Purple Reign" Nike Kobe 1 Protro and Nike Air Tailwind 79 in its OG colorway this Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Air Jordan IX Boot returns in a vibrant "Green Abyss" colorway for anyone tired of the traditionally toned-down appearance of winter boots.

Japanese brand Have a Good Time is dropping its take on the Adidas Samba this Thursday. Offerings from the Three Stripes continue on Friday with the arrival of the "Cell" and "Son Gohan" pairs from the Dragon Ball Z x Adidas collaboration, as well as the size?-exclusive Adidas Kegler Super OG as a part of its ongoing Archive collection. Nike has some pairs of its own hitting retailers on Friday in the form of the "Guava Ice" Air Max Deluxe for the ladies, and the 2018 retro of Dennis Rodman's first Nike signature—the Air Darwin.

Releases conclude on Saturday with the "Multicolor" LeBron 16, "Habanero Red" Air Foamposite One, wider release of the Patta x Nike Air Max 90/95 hybrid, "Platinum Tint" Air Jordan XI, and "Mauve" Adidas Yeezy Boost 700.

Nike Kobe 1 Protro 'Purple Reign'

What You Need to Know: Another OG colorway of the Kobe 1 is getting the Protro treatment. First seen in 2006, the "Black/Varsity Purple" pair sports a black leather upper, purple suede panel on the medial side, and white Swoosh. Additional purple hits are used on the ankle collar, midsole, and tongue branding. To update the mid-2000s model for the modern game, the Kobe 1 Protro is given a more lightweight build and full-length Zoom Air cushioning. The pair will coincide with the release of Kobe Bryant's new book, The Mamba Mentality: How I Play.

Nike Air Tailwind 79

What You Need to Know: Nike is bringing back 1979's Nike Air Tailwind in its OG "Vast Grey/Light Photo Blue" color scheme. Revolutionary for its time, it was the first design from the Swoosh to feature Air cushioning in the midsole. The pair is dressed in a mesh upper with suede overlays, a leather heel tab and Swoosh branding, and a nylon tongue.

Air Jordan IX Boot 'Green Abyss'

What You Need to Know: For anyone out there looking for a more colorful boot to add to their rotation this winter, Jordan Brand is dropping the "Green Abyss" Air Jordan IX Boot. The pair sports a grey nubuck upper, Green Abyss overlays, royal blue midsole and liner, red branding hits, and an orange outsole. Boot-inspired details like metal eyelets and a rugged traction pattern are added to winterize the basketball silhouette.

Have a Good Time x Adidas Samba

What You Need to Know: Japanese brand Have a Good Time has created its own version of the classic Adidas Samba to accompany its latest capsule of apparel with the brand. The pair largely resembles an OG pair with its black leather upper, suede overlay on the toe, white Three Stripes branding and heel, and gum bottoms. What sets the pair apart from your run-of-the-mill Samba is Have a Good Time's logo stamped on the tongue, and repeated across the leather inner lining.

Dragon Ball Z x Adidas 'Cell/Son Gohan'

What You Need to Know: The second wave of sneakers from the Dragon Ball Z x Adidas collaboration drops this week. A Prophere inspired by the character Cell sports a green and purple upper with a pink outsole, while Son Gohan is represented by a purple Deerupt with yellow accents to resemble his outfit and hair. Both pairs come complete with special insoles and packaging featuring art from the classic anime series.

Adidas Kegler Super OG (size? Exclusive)

What You Need to Know: European retailer size? is bringing back another Adidas Originals silhouette for its ongoing Archive series this week. The Kegler Super originally debuted in 1980 and was designed to play Keglen—a German version of bowling. Its OG colorway sports a white leather upper, royal blue hits on the Three Stripes and heel, and tan suede on the toe and bumper. The model's main feature is the removable pegs in the heel portion of the midsole to adjust cushioning.

WMNS Nike Air Max Deluxe 'Guava Ice'

When: Friday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m.

What You Need to Know: The latest colorway of the Air Max Deluxe takes on a more toned-down approach than we are used to seeing from the 1999 runner. This women's-exclusive removes the rave-inspired wave graphic from the upper in favor of a solid Guava Ice mesh. To add a more premium vibe to the pair, it also features tonal leather overlays, and a leather heel in place of the usual Foamposite panel.

Nike Air Darwin

What You Need to Know: Dennis Rodman's 1994 signature, the Nike Air Darwin, returns this week in its OG form. The first Nike model worn by the Worm as a member of the San Antonio Spurs for the 1994-95 season, it will be hitting retailers in a Chicago Bulls-inspired white, black, and red colorway instead. The Air Darwin's DNA was last seen at retailers in 2012 with a series of modernized pairs that featured a mesh upper and 360 Air Max unit in place of the original midsole tooling.

Nike LeBron 16 'Multicolor'

What You Need to Know: With the LeBron James era officially underway in Los Angeles, Nike is dropping a new colorway of the LeBron 16 this Saturday. The pair features a multicolor Battleknit 2.0 upper, grey heel and tongue, and white outsole. Branding includes a Swoosh on the lateral heel, lion head debossed on the tongue. and LJ crown logo stamped into the heel.

Nike Air Foamposite One 'Habanero Red'

What You Need to Know: The Nike Air Foamposite One might not hold the same esteem in the sneaker community that it did a few years ago, but that doesn't mean that Nike has lost its ability to produce solid colorways of the '90s basketball classic. The "Habanero Red" colorways takes a traditional approach with a shiny red Foamposite upper, nubuck eyelets and heel, black mesh bootie, red branding hits on the tongue and heel, and black outsole. A slight change can be seen on the tongue and heel tabs that feature "Nike" script in place of the usual stripes.

Patta x Nike Air Max 90/95

What You Need to Know: Following an exclusive release at Patta's locations in London and Amsterdam this past weekend, the Dutch brand's Air Max 90 x 95 from its "Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow!" collection is getting a wider launch. The hybrid pair places the Air Max 90's upper atop an Air Max 95 sole. Two colorways will be available. One sports a tonal black upper accented with a copper Swoosh. The other places an obsidian upper with red branding atop a white midsole. Common details across both pairs include a co-branded volt patch on the tongue, and special Patta branding on the side panel.

Air Jordan XI 'Platinum Tint'

What You Need to Know: One of the most popular Air Jordan retros whenever it returns to retailers, the Air Jordan XI is releasing this weekend in a brand new "Platinum Tint" colorway. A Platinum Tint ballistic mesh upper is accented by red accents on the tongue and heel branding, a red streak seperating the heel panel from the rest of the upper, and a black liner. While the XI is known for its patent leather overlay, this pair has replaced the signature feature with a tonal nubuck that gives the shoe a more casual appearance.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 'Mauve'

What You Need to Know: After multiple restocks of the OG "Wave Runner" colorway, the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 is finally releasing in a new styling. The "Mauve" colorway has been spotted on the feet of Kanye West numerous times throughout the past year, but now will be making its retail debut. It sports multiple shades of grey across its mesh, leather, and suede upper. A subtle pop of color comes in the form of two lime green hits on the midsole. The dark upper sits atop a gum outsole. Despite Ye's questionable behavior in recent weeks and the slight dip in resell value the Yeezys have seen as of late, this pair is still sure to sellout in mere minutes on Saturday morning.
