Official Release Information for the Union x Air Jordan Collection

Following up its teaser video from the Rose Bowl Flea Market last week, the Union Los Angeles x Air Jordan collection has officially been revealed.

The entire capsule takes heavy inspiration from the late '80s and early '90s. Alongside two Air Jordan 1s, it will also feature vintage-inspired T-shirts, hoodies, pullovers, shorts, and sweatpants. The vibe of the collection is influenced by the vintage gear that Union owner Chris Gibbs finds digging around the Rose Bowl Flea Market and vintage stores.

"The Jordan stuff I wear now is like if I go to a vintage market and I find some really old stuff that’s kind of patina'd or weathered in," Gibbs said in an official press release. "To me, the vintage nature of it allows you to kind of wear it outside of its intended purpose."

Vintage vibes are accomplished with special washes on the apparel, and details on the shoes like exposed padding on the tongue, distressed leather wrapping the ankle, and yellowed midsoles to simulate age. Each Air Jordan 1 fuses two OG colorways with yellow contrast stitching at the ankle. According to the official Union x Air Jordan site, the blue apparel and "Thunder Blue"/"Bred" colorway of the Air Jordan 1 will be exclusively sold at Union with the rest of the apparel and "Natural Grey"/"Black Toe" Air Jordan 1 getting a wider launch.

Interested buyers will get the chance to cop the Union x Air Jordan collection on Nov. 17 via Union Los Angeles, unionjordan.com, nike.com, and other select retailers. Union will also be holding raffles at an undisclosed location on Nov. 10 and 11 for local customers in the L.A. area. Check out the full collection here.
