In celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection, Nike has been bringing back some of its past designs this week. The latest pair getting the retro treatment is 2013's Air Foamposite One.

This pair was designed by Elijah Diggins, a patient at the Doernbecher Children's Hospital who was diagnosed with Burkitt leukemia when he turned 13. The bright red and black color scheme that covers this Air Foamposite One represents his form of blood cancer and his favorite basketball team. A special insole graphic is inspired by a silver bracelet he was gifted on his 13th birthday. Other hits include face logos stitched on each heel, Diggins' signature on the heel pull tabs, and a removable hang tag covered in the same branding.

Diggins has been in remission for five years. He is currently a sophomore in college studying science and playing baseball. All proceeds from the re-release of his Air Foamposite One design will be donated to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland. It will drop via Nike SNKRS on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 10 a.m. for $230.
