Jordan Brand has officially unveiled the upcoming "Modern" collection from its Flight Utility range. It will include three lifestyle silhouettes: the Proto-Max 720, Proto-React and Apex React.
Like the names suggest, the Proto-Max 720 sits atop a chunky 720-degree Air Max unit, while the other two options take advantage of Nike's React cushioning system.
"Similar to how we're approaching the Jordan game shoe, we want to blend our design aesthetic with leading-edge Nike Inc. innovation when designing lifestyle silhouettes," VP of Design for Jordan Brand David Creech said in an official press release. "Off-court comfort is paramount, so the benefit of Air Max 720 and React cushioning is clear."
The Proto-Max 720 and Proto-React introduce brand new silhouettes. The Apex React borrows design language from the Flyknit Air Jordan 1, but adds details like a strap system on the heel, heightened tongue, and new midsole.
The Jordan Flight Utility "Modern" collection will launch globally at select retailers on April 1.
