Fear of God Is Releasing Sneakers That Look Like Vans

Fear of God's upcoming 101 sneaker is inspired by the Vans Era.

Fear of God's Jerry Lorenzo took to Instagram today to show off the popular brand's soon-to-be-released sneaker that bears a striking resemblance to Vans Eras.

Dubbed the 101, Lorenzo describes the sneaker as "California design, Italian craftsmanship, timeless solution." He says they were originally intended to be part of the label's Fifth Collection, but will now arrive before the official release of the Sixth Collection in the coming months.

This particular colorway being shown off appears to sport premium white nubuck on the toe and heel, and grey nubuck on the side panels. It's finished off with a black leather lining, white midsole, and white laces.

This is not the first time that Lorenzo has taken cues from other brands for Fear of God's footwear styles. For 2018 NBA All Star Weekend this past February, he dropped five pairs of the 1987 Basketball Sneaker inspired by classic colorways of the Air Jordan 1. However, this inspiration comes across a little more interesting given the fact that Fear of God has released official collaborations with Vans in the past using the actual Era as a canvas.

Aside from inline styles from Fear of God, Lorenzo is also rumored to be dropping a collaboration with Nike in Fall 2018 that will reportedly consist of three pairs of the Air Skylon 2.

Anyone interested in copping the more premium cousin to the Vans Era will be able to scoop the Fear of God 101 sneaker when it hits retailers some time in Summer 2018.
