Seemingly out of nowhere, Dover Street Market is dropping a collaboration with Nike using the classic Air Max 1 as the canvas.
The collab will consist of three tonal Air Max 1 colorways. Each of the white, black, and navy blue pairs is constructed of a Ventile upper and sports white laces, a white tongue tag, and sits on a white midsole. Perhaps the best detail is the inclusion of the mini-Swoosh branding on the lateral toe reminiscent of some of the classic Air Max 1s from the early 2000s. The left and right shoes of each pair also sport different heel branding. The left will showcase the usual Nike Air logo, but the right will display DSM's logo. The opposite treatment is applied to the insoles.
The Dover Street Market x Nike Air Max 1 "Ventile" collection will be available Thursday, Jan. 18 exclusively at all Dover Street Market locations and from the online store. Retail is $150.
