Undefeated and Nike have been working together for over a decade, building the culture and providing only the best products for streetwear enthusiasts and sneakerheads. While the Los Angeles-based company's list of sneaker collaborations runs deep, the work it's put in on Nike's historic Air Force 1 model has helped cement the brand in the minds of sneakerheads. With today's news that Undefeated will be teaming up with Nike on another AF1 collection, we take a look back at the brand's complete history of Air Force 1 collaborations.
Undefeated x Nike Air Force 1 Low Inside/Out “Shemagh”
Year: 2005
Undefeated's first-ever AF1 collaboration with Nike was inspired by patterns typically found on a shemagh, a Middle Eastern headdress, which became a popular fashion accessory during the rise of streetwear culture circa 2005/2006. The sneaker released in two colorways—purple and black—and each one was limited to only 500 pairs.
Undefeated x Entourage x Nike Air Force 1 Low "Fukijama"
Year: 2006
In a 2006 episode of Entourage, Turtle and Vince went to Undefeated Santa Monica to try and cop a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Lows designed by a fictional artist named Fukijama. The sneakers were done up in white/university blue with laser detailing on the interior and heel panels. The late DJ AM scooped up the last pair, leaving Turtle empty-handed. The sneaker never actually saw a general release IRL, but it's rumored that there were 100 pairs made, half of which were given to the cast and crew of Entourage.
Undefeated x Entourage x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Fukijama”
Year: 2009
After striking out on a pair of Fukijama-designed Nike Air Force 1 Lows at Undefeated Santa Monica, Turtle ended up flourishing in the episode after all. Dude met up with the fictional artist and was blessed with his own personal, 1-of-1 pair, a lasered white/gold iteration that came with a wooden box. This exact sneaker would eventually release in the summer of 2009. This sneaker was actually lasered by Mark Smith.
Undefeated x Livestrong x Nike Air Force 1 Low
Year: 2009
In collaboration with Lance Armstrong's Livestrong Foundation, Undefeated designed a Nike Air Force 1 Low decked out in the nonprofit's signature yellow and black colors. Like its 2006 Nike “Shemagh” collab, Undefeated opted to use the AF1s Inside/Out edition and even used a similar graphic pattern on the toebox and side panels.
Undefeated x Nike Lunar Force 1
Year: 2014
The most recent collaboration used the Lunarlon-equipped AF1 High and Low, Nike's latest version of the classic basketball sneaker with updated technology. The pack drew inspiration from its first-ever collab, the “Shemagh” AF1s, as both sneakers were highlighted with a jacquard pattern.
