Nike Air Max 96

"I wore these overseas not too long ago and I punished them. I wasn't there 20 minutes and they were done. Now I can't find them and they were my only pair. So I have to accept the fact that I might not ever see them again."

Air Jordan XIV "Indiglo"

"I just wore these in my 'Pretty Girls' video. Once again that lime green did it here in DC. The detail of the shoe was crazy. Nobody was ready for these."

Nike Air Max 90 "Infrared"

"These are classics. I wore these the first time I headlined a show, so they go down in history for me."

Nike SB Dunk Low "Takashi"

"Exclusivity says it all here, something terrible. I know places with a SB Tier 0 account that only got like 6 pairs. I didn't even get them, I just knew about them."

Air Jordan XVII

"They came in a suitcase. That was the craziest thing ever. I remember dudes used to bring the suitcase to school to show it off, carrying their books around in it."

Air Jordan XX "Stealth"

"I wore these to my first sold out show so they signify a lot to me."

Nike Zoom Lebron II

"That's when I first actually committed to being a Lebron fan. At first I didn't want to buy into him because I figured it was just a lot of hype. The sneaks are super comfortable and complemented my NBA socks very well too."

Air Jordan Retro II

"A lot of people were scared of these. I was working at DTLR and my manager looked out and got me them maybe like 3-4 days early. People had no idea what they were. Plus you know you're the man in the city if you get sneaks early. That was the whole game."

Air Jordan XII "Playoffs"

"The playoff editions where always the smoothest ones to me. It's just something about those that made them special."

Nike SB Dunk Low "Loden"

"This was back when we just used to sit in the studio and put sneakers like these in my songs. That's how I got a lot of my fans, through the SB's and having sneakers that a lot of people couldn't get."

Air Jordan VII "Olympic"

"The original jawns with the 9 on the back. If you didn't get those you wasn't in the game. The colorway with that slight bit of gold...wow! The only thing that was hard about them was keeping them pure white."

Nike Dunk Low "Halloween Edition"

"Anything signifying some type of holiday I had to get. The Easter Eggs and all. These were the first shoes I remember with the carbon fiber accents."

Nike Air Max 1 "Atmos"

"Atmos is just another one of those exclusive brands. I still got them but they're kinda small now. I wouldn't mind taking the sole out and just putting them on. They were just so rare you had to get them. You ain't in the game if you didn't."

Nike Air Force 1 "Carnival"

"I mean they were cool... nice to have some footwear from the motherland."

Nike SB Dunk High "Brown Pack"

"They didn't come out during fall, and I wore corduroys with them even in the heat. That was back before rocking corduroy was considered cool. Stepping out the box."

Nike SB Dunk Low "Danny Supa"

"After seeing these, I had to go Google Danny Supa. So many people hyped them up that it made you get them because you heard so much about them."

NIke Air Zoom Huarache 2K4

"I actually had every color of these. This was just one of those joints that stood out because they were so comfortable. It was a basketball sneaker that really looked good. Plus the PE's were official."

Nike Air Pro Streak

"These stem back to my football days. They were the only turf shoe to have, it was either these or nothing."

Nike Air Trainer III "Viotech"

"I learned about these from working at a sneaker store. A lot of people didn't get these when they dropped and had to pay for it later."

Nike Air Tech Challange II "Hot Lava"

"The Hot Lavas! Just listen to the name. I ain't gonna lie, a lot of these shoes got me because of the name. It was like 'Wow, you really named the shoes that?"

Air Jordan 1

"Classic, we don't even really need to talk about these jawns."

Nike Terra Sertig

"These played a big part in my music. They kinda helped with my swag since not everybody had them."

Nike Air Terra Humara "ACG Urban Night"

"This shoe is just so well put together that I have to show my appreciation for it. The colorway and then the actual structure was just wonderful. When I first saw these it was like magic and my boy was like, 'Give me $125 and I'll get them for you.' And about an hour later I had them."

Nike Total Air Foamposite Max

"My wardrobe consultant had them like a year early and I thought they were the craziest, most futuristic shoes I had ever seen in my life. I had to bring the OG ones back to rock for the XXL: Freshmen Ten cover. In DC, I can't even begin to describe what the Foamposites mean to us."

Nike Vis Zoom Uptempo

"These are on my list because all my friends and I got them at the same time. It was like a family thing, sorta like a team shoe. It was like that one time where everybody's family was straight so we all could afford them."

Nike Air Max 97

"I had to go through some stuff to get these, I was on the Internet all crazy 'cause I really didn't know where to actually get them. These represented stepping outside the box to me, you had to be a really confident person to pull these off. I ended up EBAY-ing them and spending $230 on them but when you love it, you love it."

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 "Volt"

"It was the green that got me. Grif was the first guy from Baseball that had pull like that. So much so that people wore cleats to class. So once the tennis shoes dropped it was a done deal. This was the first shoe that I thought didn't reflect on any other shoe that came before it."

Nike CB34

"Once again, the colorway did it for me. You know we love Charles out here, so any Barkely goes down in DC. That, the Foam's, Goadomes, and anything like this is just a given."

Nike SB Dunk High "Unkle"

"My friends used to be like 'Man you're wearing pink, you're corny!' and all that stuff, but it was a confidence thing with these. They made me feel like I was stepping out the box."

Nike Air Force 1 Low "Linen"

"Again, another crazy colorway. This was when Nike first started to experiment with new materials. My man sent me a picture and I knew I had to have them. I really wasn't a Air Force 1 fan until they started doing stuff like this."

Nike Air Flightposite 1

"These were way ahead of their time. The design broke the plane for shoes and the technology they incorporated. I remember we had to get these just because of the price. If something cost so much it had to be good."

Nike Air Foamposite

"The DMV is the home of the Foamposite. I didn't get these when they first came out though. They were $180 and that was ridiculous, especially since I was only in the 8th or 9th grade. But I remember some dude at my HS used to play basketball games in them. He was trippin."

Air Jordan Retro V "Laney High"

"That's easy, It was the colorway. I won't even beat around the bush on these. Only certain stores were able to get them so if somebody had them you knew they were up on game."

Air Jordan Retro V

"With the V's it was the tongue that got me. They totally set these J's off. The reflection was perfect for being at a Go-Go. I used to tuck my jeans behind it so that everybody would know I had them."

Nike Diamond Turf DT2

"These are another pair that I owed to myself. They broke a price point being like $125 so I couldn't get them when they first came out. Deion was 'Primetime Showtime' back when I played football and I fashioned my game after him. Anything including Deion and football is a must."

Nike Air Max More Uptempo

"Yeah the A-I-R's! There weren't a lot of basketball shoes that were fly enough to put on with jeans other than J's. I always had a love for Uptempo's though, no matter which ones were out. They were always so comfortable."

NIke Air Speed Turf Max

"The Miami colorway is always beautiful but it limited your wardrobe. You had to actually look for something to wear with it. Since I wasn't growing my hair at the time I had a matching fitted to complete the outfit."

Nike Terminator High

"I wore these at the first show where I realized that people actually knew the words to my songs. I had them laced up crazy because of the amount of lace holes they have but people were still all over them. They're cool because most people won't wear them."

Nike SB x Supreme Blazer High

"These are one of my grail shoes. I actually rocked these in my 'Pretty Girls' video. These were just so well done as far as the snake print and the quilted leather goes. Plus a lot of people can't pull off all-red sneakers."

Nike SB x Supreme Dunk High

"Supreme is a real exclusive brand, and on top of that the quality is top. You can only get their stuff from the actual store so the exclusivity of this sneaker did it for me."

Nike SB x Supreme Dunk Low

"This was when sneakers began to get super hyped, back when I was making songs like 'Hype' off my mixtape. That's when the Internet came into play and blew up the sneaker scene. This shoe started the downfall of the sneaker game. The Internet ruined it."

Nike Air Max 95 "Neon"

"Classic, that's just it. They bring them out every year, so you just got to have them. Where I'm from, Hugo Boss is big, so a lot of the color schemes of the summertime go with the neon yellow. They are perfect for the summer."

Nike Zoom Flight 95

"These are in my top 10 because I actually still have the original pair. They caught my eye when I was looking through my closet and putting the list together, and I just said, 'Wow these joints right here.' I've had them for a long time."

Nike Total Air Pillar

"I got them for a discount price and because somebody really looked out for me. I had to include them in my list. I got them for 50 percent off the day that they came out. That was the first time I really didn't have to go out of my way to get a sneaker."

Air Jordan Retro IV

"Coming up J's were the most important shoes. The other sneakers really didn't matter. In order to keep the kids from laughing at you, you had to grab a pair of Mike's. That kept you safe from all the guys that would laugh at you or the girls who really didn't think you were cute. If you had Jordans on you could get by."

Air Jordan Retro XI "Concords"

"Oh man, yeah I stood in line for what had to be an hour and a half to two hours, and I worked at the store. They were one of the most anticipated Jordans, and at that time Mike was in his prime. The XI's were famous from the start."

Air Jordan Retro XI "Space Jam"

"These are basically the same story as the Concords. As soon as they dropped I had to cop."

Air Jordan VI "Infrared"

"They came out when I was young and I wasn't able to get them because my parents weren't going to drop so much money on a pair of shoes. So, I had to make sure that I got them when they came back out. They were just one of those shoes that I owed to myself."

Air Jordan Retro IV

"The reason why I added these was the exclusivity of the IV. Not because I actually liked them like that, but it was the fact that people went through so much to actually get them."

Air Jordan Retro III

"It was just super easy to put these together with pretty much anything. I actually wore them at my first paid show so they mean a lot to me."
