Reigning NBA sneaker champ P.J. Tucker is currently still a sneaker free agent, but he may be close to re-signing with Nike.
In an interview, the Houston Rockets forward told CNBC that the two sides are close to a deal and that talks between him and the sportswear giant have been ongoing since his previous contract expired back in October. According to the report, Tucker is expected to command a multiyear, six-figure sneaker deal, which would be the largest endorsement of his career thus far.
Tucker has also revealed interest from different brands including Adidas, Puma, and New Balance. He's been spotted wearing a variety of sneakers since, and even purchased brands like Vans and Reebok on his recent episode of Sneaker Shopping.
Negotiations are currently ongoing but stay tuned to Sole Collector to see what brand Tucker ultimately signs with.
