New York-based fashion and lifestyle brand Aimé Leon Dore is releasing a brand new New Balance collaboration this week as part of its latest "Life in the Balance" campaign.
Both the New Balance 990v2 and the 990v5 will be up for grabs after the pairs were officially unveiled on the label's official Instagram account. The 990v2 opts for a grey mesh upper that's contrasted by colorful suede overlays consisting of pine green, blue, grey and yellow. On the other hand, the 990v5 features a blue mesh upper paired with premium green suede throughout. Additional details include a small Aimé Leon Dore tag by the collar and 'ALD' branding emblazoned on the heel.
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 990s release exclusively in-store this Thursday at the brand's NYC flagship store and on aimeleondore.com on Friday at 11 a.m. EST. Pricing for the pairs has not yet been announced.
UPDATE (11/18): Following all the commotion that the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 990 collab caused during last week's in-store release that led to a shutdown by the NYPD, fans have another chance at copping the 990v5 via raffle on EndClothing for $189.
