The latest sign of Nike's struggles is a smaller paycheck for its head honcho. CNN Money reports that CEO Mark Parker's compensation shrunk this year by 71 percent.

Per regulatory filings posted on Tuesday, Parker will make $13.9 million, vs. $47.6 million during the same period last year. In other words, he is still very rich.

Parker started at Nike in 1979 and rose through the ranks to become the CEO of the Oregon-based sportswear powerhouse in 2006.

Nike's had some financial woes as of late, with sales growth slowing and momentum from rival Adidas growing. Part of its plan to lift the brand includes a partnership with Amazon that will bring Nikes to a new digital platform.
