Hot on the heels of this week's sizable batch of Air Max 97 releases comes further confirmation of an original colorway coming back. On Wednesday, official Nike photos of the returning "Volt" Air Max 97 leaked.
This colorway is not the most celebrated of original Air Max 97s, but is still a highly touted one, its status helped in part by the elusiveness of the 2005 Asia-only retro.
While an earlier, catalog-style image of the retro Air Max 97 in question had silver lettering on the heel pull-tab, this batch suggests that neon will be used there. The originals from 1997 used silver lettering, while the 2005 pair's lettering was neon.
The release date is set for Friday, Nov. 17 for $160 at nike.com and Nike retailers.
