Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell may be on his way to Rookie of the Year honors, but he picked up some early hardware during NBA All-Star Saturday Night.
One of four competitors in the 2018 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, Mitchell paid homage to both Darrell Griffith and Vince Carter, along with a leap over comedian Kevin Hart and family. Runner-up Larry Nance Jr. showed love to his dunk champion father, Victor Oladipo donned a Black Panther mask and Dennis Smith Jr. showed off some impressive bounce. In the end, it was Mitchell's tribute to Vinsanity that edged out an underrated double-tap by Nance Jr. to win the event.
