Steve Nash has defied the odds his whole life. Born in South Africa, he grew up in Canada playing soccer and hockey — it wasn't until he was a teenager that he even picked up a ball and started to hoop. In the eighth grade he told his mother he would be in the NBA, we're glad he didn't have to lie to Mama Nash and has been droppin' sick dimes and acrobatic runners since. To honor Nash's 38th birthday, we decided to take a look back at the sneaker game of the NBA Draft's greatest 15th overall pick.
