A possible candidate for sneaker of the year will be dropping soon: the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low “Reverse Mocha.” Virgil Abloh’s legacy lives on with another must-have release in the upcoming Off-White Air Force 1 “Green.” Lastly, Nike continues to drop more Dunk Lows, this time paying tribute to the legendary Jackie Robinson.

Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low OG 'Reverse Mocha'

Release date: July 21

The long wait for one of the most anticipated releases this year, the Travis Scott Jordan 1 Low, is about to end soon as the “Reverse Mochas” are set to drop July 21st. The Reverse Mochas are already reselling for over $2000 CAD if anyone wants to snatch an early pair, but it might be wiser to wait, as the resell prices should come down after the big release. They’re expected to come in full family sizes; one can only pray to land a pair in any size via retail.

Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low 'Green'

Release date: Late July/early August (Exact date TBA)

Although there is no official release date for the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 “Green” yet, all signs point to it happening in the near future. Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit is currently showing at the Brooklyn Museum. The museum staff have been spotted wearing the new green colourway and although they have no information on whether there’s a confirmed release date or not, with all that’s been going on along with the official images being released, it’s only a matter of time before we know when they will drop for sure.

Nike Dunk Low x Jackie Robinson

Release Date: July 19

Nike is paying tribute to baseball legend Jackie Robinson with a beautiful pair of Nike Dunk Lows. Robinson was the first African American to play in a Major League Baseball game in the modern era. The uppers are meant to represent an aged version of Jackie Robinson’s original jersey. On the uppers, all over the sneakers you can see Robinson’s iconic quote from 1947: “I’m not concerned with your liking or disliking me… All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.” Likely to be a hot seller, keep your eyes out of this upcoming drop!

Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny

Release date: July 15

Penny Hardaway’s signature sneaker with Nike is making a strong return with many retro colourways of the Air Max Penny 1 along with multiple collaborations. Clothing store Social Status is collaborating with Nike on two colorways of the Air Max Penny 1. One pair is primarily a bone colour and the other is black, white, and blue. This drop is dubbed “Recess” and the swoosh logos are removable. If you’re not reading this too late, head over to Nike to see if your sizes are still available.

New Balance 550 Mint Green

Release date: July 15 (tentative)

The 33-year-old New Balance 550 has quickly become one of the most sought after silhouettes in the last couple years. Everyone has been buying up the general releases as well as the special collabs. This upcoming colourway is called “Green Mint” and uses a nice pastel tone not often seen on sneakers. New Balance still hasn’t released a solid release date, but they are expected to drop July 15th.

New Balance Kawhi 2

Release date: July 14

The Kawhi 2 is getting a nice clean and simple colourway as simple as black with white. The Kawhi 2 is built for the two-time NBA Champion’s positionless style of play. This colourway is meant to pay tribute to all the memorable “lights out” moments of Kawhi’s career. This pair is already available to purchase, but as Kawhi’s sneakers do not completely sell out, you should be able to grab yourself a pair if you’re in the market for a new pair of basketball sneakers.

Nike Air Force 1 Anniversary Edition 'Los Angeles'

Release date: July 16

It’s a good time to release special Air Force 1s as their hype has been rising due to the Off-White Air Force 1s as well as the Louis Vuitton Air Force 1s. This is not just your standard general release however—it is a special Anniversary Edition for the city of Los Angeles. This clean pair features sail canvas uppers, rope laces, flower stitching details, and special Anniversary Edition branding on the tongue. Expected to release in full family sizing on July 16th.

Reebok Question Mid 'The Cross Over'

Release date: July 22

This was celebrates an iconic moment in NBA sports history. The Reebok Question Mid “Crossover” celebrates the 25th anniversary of Iverson’s crossover on Michael Jordan. It is a rework on the Question’s original colourway but with hints of gold on the logos. Iverson’s releases tend to take a bit of time to sell out but this special can move quicker, so keep your eyes out if you’re a fan of this classic sneaker.

Nike Lebron 3 'The Shop'

Release date: July 27

With this upcoming release, Nike could be looking to bring back a string Lebron’s third signature sneaker. This pair is primarily an all-black sneaker but also features the red white and blue as a subtle nod to The Shop, Lebron’s talk show where he appears in a barbershop with special guests. You can also see the acronym “BBZ” embroidered on the sneaker, showing love to Lebron’s three children Bronny, Brice, and Zhuri. Can’t wait to see if Nike decides to bring back some original colourways of the Lebron 3.

Bryant Giles x New Balance 2002R

Release date: July 21

This upcoming release isn’t for everyone—it is an actual work of art. New Balance has collaborated with L.A.-based artist Bryant Giles to remix the 2002R in two ways. The olive pair retains the original silhouette while the white pair appears to be more of a slip-on pair. Both pairs will have detachable “N” logos and with New Balance’s recent popularity, you can expect these to sell out instantly.
