Michaela Coel is a BAFTA-winning actress known for her hilarious TV series Chewing Gum. But it wasn't until now that Coel unlocked one of the internet's biggest achievements: starring in a meme.

Coel is seen in the first episode of Black Mirror's latest season as Shania Lowry. The Star Trek-inspired episode, "USS Callister," follows a crew that blindly worships their captain, Robert Daly (played by Jesse Plemons).

But the plot isn't what caught one savvy person's eye. Instead, they captured a screenshot of Coel's character as she smirks and looks back toward the camera with a headset on. Now, tweeters are using the still to add in their own commentary on what's actually happening in the photo.

Coel is pretty hype about her new feat as well. "When becoming a meme was the 2018 goal you never knew you had," she tweeted after seeing the memes on Twitter.

This isn't the first time Coel appeared in the mind-blowing anthology series that seems to horrify us in new ways each year. She played a small part in season three's "Nosedive." Coel also played for the "other nerd team" and had a small role on the resistance team in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (because you can like both). The 30-year-old actress is also starring in the forthcoming Netflix musical, Been So Long, which is set to be released later this year.

After a busy year, we can only hope she's ready to bring Chewing Gum back for season three. In the meantime, we've got her face on our Twitter timelines to entertain us.
