On Saturday, Fortnite's players gathered to see the previously teased big rocket launch at 1:30 p.m.

YouTube streamer Muselk went to Twitter on Friday to give a heads up to gamers about the special moment. "Guys. Be at the rocket at 1:30pm Eastern time on Saturday. Something big is gonna happen. And its only gonna happen once. Thats all Im gonna say. RT and get the word out," read his tweet.

And sure enough, he was right. As gamers waited at the Snobby Shores Villain’s Lair, they were able to watch the rocket launch crack the sky (which may or may not have been revealed to be a dome). Newsweek reports there were also a few other changes to the Battle Royale landscape too. Now, there are spare rocket parts in the grass in Anarchy Acres and a possible time portal hovering in the middle of Lonely Lodge.

Fortnite has been one of the biggest viral sensations in the past few months, gaining over 125 million players worldwide. Now, they were able to witness an epic moment that will likely lead to more changes in the game's season 5, which is reportedly arriving on July 12 at 4 a.m. EST. In the meantime, check out some of the reactions from the worldwide launch.
