Watch This Deleted Scene From 'The Breakfast Club' Ahead of the Film's Re-Release

The Criterion Collection is re-releasing 'The Breakfast Club' with never-before-seen footage, interviews and a photo essay.

Fans of the beloved 1985 film The Breakfast Club are in for a treat. The John Hughes–penned classic is getting re-released with about 50 minutes of never-before-seen footage, cast interviews, and a video essay to accompany Hughes' production notes.

Thanks to theCriterion Collection, which is in charge of re-releasing the coming-of-age film, fans will be able to re-watch everything, from the group's dance montage to Claire putting on her lipstick with no hands, in 4K digital restoration as well.

Ahead of the release, Vulturegave fans a teaser (above) of what's to come with a deleted scene showing Claire Standish (Molly Ringwald) and Allison Reynolds (Ally Sheedy) sharingan odd bathroom exchange where Claire chides Allison for washing her hands right after eating a potato chip that fell close to the toilet. In response, Allison glares in her direction, drops another chip in the bathroom sink and then proceeds to eat it. Overall, it's cringe-worthy—but that's to be expected from the so-called "basket case."

We're sure there are plenty more golden moments to be seen as well, but we'll just have to wait a bit longer to see what else Bender, Claire, Allison, Brian and Andrew were up to during their time in Saturday detention. I'm sure we'll still come to learn that they're more than just a "brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess, and a criminal."

The DVD and Blu-ray collection are set to be released on Jan. 2.
