Angela Simmons is starting off her New Year as a single woman. The Growing Up Hip Hop star went to Instagram to announce that she's no longer engaged to her longtime fiancé and baby's father, Sutton Tennyson.
"I can truly say that this year has made me stronger," read the long post on Instagram. "Well I recognized my strength to walk away from what isn't healthy for me. I faced my biggest fears this year. And from that I am open to my new life and evolving. I truly have seen and been through some stuff that I know tons of women go through."
The couple announced their engagement in April 2016 and welcomed a son, Sutton Joseph, in September 2016. But that didn't stop cheating rumors from surfacing — especially as fans started to notice that Simmons has stopped posting photos with her fiancé for several months. Whether or not the cheating rumors were true, Simmons is keeping a positive attitude.
"All of those who are single mothers that are hurting that want to give up ... don't!" she said in the same Instagram post. "Also don't stay somewhere that you aren't valued. And don't allow anyone to treat you less than what you are. It's not easy to face my truth in front of this cold world. But I face it with pride because I got through this and will get through it all!"
If the cheating rumors are true, Simmons is far from the last celebrity person to get cheated on this year including Cardi B, Kevin Hart's wife, Eniko Parrish, and allegedly LaLa Anthony.
