Home Improvement star Zachery Ty Bryan has been arrested for violating the terms of his probation.

TMZ reports that Bryan and his girlfriend, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, were arrested in Oregon on Saturday (Nov. 29) after Bryan violated the probation terms of his previous domestic violence conviction.

The actor will remain in jail until Dec. 3 after being denied bail.

Cartwright is facing five charges, including driving under the influence, three counts of reckless endangerment, and attempted first-degree assault. She’s currently expected to be arraigned on Dec. 1.

Bryan is currently serving a three-year probation term that doesn’t expire until Oct. 2026. He initially got into legal trouble in Oregon when he and Cartwright were involved in a drunken dispute in 2020. He was convicted of menacing and was on probation at the time of the second incident.

Since then, he’s been arrested in Oklahoma for a DUI and in South Carolina for allegedly assaulting and strangling Cartwright.

Bryan’s latest troubles come weeks after a woman received a five-year restraining order against him because he allegedly punched and threatened to kill her in July.

In a statement to TMZ earlier this month, Bryan apologized for his actions, claiming that he’s on a “journey toward personal growth.”

“Fame as a child actor left scars—being thrust into the spotlight at nine years old brought pressures I wasn’t equipped to handle—but that’s no justification for my choices as an adult,” Bryan said.

“The truth is, I’ve struggled with the lasting effects of early fame, addiction, and poor decision-making, which have hurt people I care about and led to repeated legal issues, including DUIs and past domestic incidents,” he added.
