Tia Mowry has opened up about an awkward moment with Lenny Kravitz that she may not get over anytime soon.
The actress sat down with Jennifer Hudson on her self-named talk show to discuss what she’s been up to recently. With pictures coming up on screen to show how much fun she had, Mowry revealed that she took her kids to the Caribbean Islands to let them experience where she spent time as a child.
After explaining that she let them have some of her native foods like catfish and plantains, Mowry told Hudson about a chance meeting with Kravitz that didn’t go like she had wanted. “I met Lenny Kravitz there, and let me tell you, he is fine,” she said — emphasizing the fine.
When she went to talk to him though, she had a hard time getting words out, explaining she tried to tell him “I’m also from Eleuthera,” but the words were practically stuck in her mouth.
“He was like ‘Aww, you’re so sweet’ and that was it,” she reflected sheepishly. Although embarrassed about what happened, she insinuated that she was interested in meeting him again. “Hey Lenny,” she added afterwards with a smirk.

Elsewhere in the same episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, Mowry opened up about how she refuses to fly with her 14-year-old son, who is taking flight lessons. “He wanted me to go with him, but I was like, ‘Hell no,” she said.
“So I FaceTimed. There we are all together,” she added. “Yep, my dad and my mom. He’s obsessed, and he loves it.”
