Footage of a tense police confrontation with a teenager carrying a gun has been released by the Columbus Police Department.

The footage stems from an incident in which officers responded to gunfire at the Barack Community Center parking lot near the pool, per TMZ.

A female officer can be heard telling adults and kids at the pool to take cover. In another clip, an officer on a bike sees three teens who fit the description of possible suspects who were involved in the shots fired situation.

After the officer screams out “hands” to get the teens to put their hands up, he pulls out a service weapon. As another officer comes, one of the teens runs away.

At one point, one of the teens walks behind a nearby jeep before turning to the officer, causing him to fire three shots that hit the teenager in his legs and arms.

Police reportedly found a weapon under the vehicle and arrested the injured 16-year-old for carrying a concealed weapon, obstructing official business, and tampering with evidence.

The 15-year-old boy who left the parking lot was also arrested. Police recovered a stolen firearm that the teenager tried to get rid of by the pool.

That teenager was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.

The third suspect who listened to the police’s orders wasn’t charged or arrested.
