Shawn Wayans isn’t mincing words when it comes to his thoughts on comedian Aries Spears.

During an interview with The Morning Hustle to promote their upcoming Scary Movie 6 installment, Shawn and Marlon discussed Spears after a host brought up the comedian calling Shawn “arrogant.”

“Oh yeah, he’s an idiot and a bitch,” said Shawn. As the hosts laughed, Marlon backed up his brother. “Sometimes, you bring out the animal inside of people,” added Marlon. “We keep our mouths shut.”

Afterward, Shawn explained more about his relationship with Spears. “I didn’t go back and forth with him at the time because I didn’t care, but now that you bring it up, he’s a bitch for that because he was begging to get inside of one of our movies or TV shows. I hooked him up and put him on a cartoon that we did, The Boo Crew. I realized how crazy he was.”

Marlon revealed what started his disdain toward Spears. “I had a beef with DJ Vlad,” began Marlon. “Vlad asked him a question about the situation, and Aries always got something smart to say. Don’t talk about my money or value or what I feel. As a Black man, you should never do that because one day, you’re going to be in that position.”

“Lo and behold, eight months later, he and DJ Vlad are beefing about him wanting money from Vlad.”

Marlon ended the tirade by addressing Spears directly. “As men, you got our number, Aries, holla,” he said.

In a 2024 interview with DJ Vlad, Spears called Shawn a “diva” and suggested that his talent didn’t match his attitude.
