Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has released new artwork that’s a breath of fresh air for fans of the iconic manga and anime series.
For context, Kishimoto hasn’t released much artwork for Naruto since the manga concluded in 2014. He’s since helped oversee the continuation of Naruto’s story in the sequel manga, Boruto, which is written and drawn by someone else. In 2023, when Kishimoto released the Naruto prequel manga spin-off Naruto: The Whorl Within The Spiral, fans were treated to a very rare taste of something new.
Now, to follow that up, Kishimoto has returned with vibrant new Naruto artwork — but don’t expect it to be for a new spin-off. In a post on X, visible above, Kishimoto’s new artwork was revealed to help celebrate the opening of a new theme park in France called Naruto: Konoha Land. The attraction is set to be a part of a larger theme park called Parc Spirou Provence that’s located in the French town of Monteux.
Kishimoto’s artwork features Naruto himself floating in the air with the fox demon, Kurama, behind him. It’s bright, beautiful, and a tease for fans who’d love to see more.
To see the new artwork in person, fans can go to the opening of Naruto: Konoha Land, which happens on Apr. 4, a year and a half after it was officially revealed in October of 2024.
Pictures of what fans can experience at Naruto: Konoha Land reveal that there are life-sized statues of some of the manga’s characters, as well as what appears to be a Mt. Rushmore of important people. The entire area that the park will encompass is a whopping 15,000 square meters.
There appears to be a roller coaster ride based off of the Kurama fox demon as well, per an image on the official Naruto website.
