Jessica Jones is coming back — the fan-favorite character will appear in the next season of Daredevil: Born Again.

At New York Comic Con, the first trailer for the show’s second season aired, revealing that Jones, the character played by Krysten Ritter in the MCU, will be reuniting with Daredevil.

Ritter came out onstage, to the surprise of the crowd, and joined Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil.

“We are so back,” she said with a grin onstage.

“It’s so exciting to have Krysten back and JJ on the show,” added Cox.

Ritter previously starred in a Jessica Jones series on Netflix and appeared with Daredevil in The Defenders.

Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ next March.

In another major moment from the new Daredevil: Born Again trailer, Elden Henson’s Foggy Nelson appears to be back — which is shocking because, spoiler alert, the character shockingly died in the premiere of the show’s first season.

Earlier this year, Complex spoke to Cox about Nelson’s death in the show.

“It's hard. It's really sad and robs us of a lot of stuff. There's no denying it,” said Cox. “But from a story point of view, we needed something. We needed to come in hot, we needed to make a big bang. We're coming back after six years and we need to shake things up a little bit.”

“There was this great idea to have Matt put down the suit and completely distance himself from his former life,” Cox continued. “And in order to do that, there needed to be a massive consequence that took him to that place. And that's the collateral damage, sadly.”

In the same interview, Cox revealed that he was a part of the conversation involving whether or not to bring Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page and Henson’s Nelson from Netflix’s Daredevil series to Disney+’s show.

“They are the heartbeat of this show, and without them, a lot of the stuff that we do, it doesn't really have any gravitas,” said Cox. “It doesn't have the same emotional impact. I really think that you need those two. They're great friends of mine, so it was lovely just to be on set with 'em again and reminisce and share in the joy of it all.”
