UPDATED 9/7, 11:15 a.m. ET: Dr. Disrespect’s former friend and collaborator, streamer Nickmercs, shared a post on X last night (Sept. 6) slamming the disgraced streamer for his actions and lashing out at people that thought he was a bad friend for not supporting him. "This r****d Dr Disrespect is married with children, pushin' 40,” he wrote. “Admits to texting a minor inappropriately. His words, not mine.”

“So I cut ties, because obviously that's inexcusable,” he continued. “Now I'm a shit friend for not having his back??? Buncha brain-rot morons on this app.”

Dr. Disrespect’s grand return to streaming was all about denying the allegations that he sexted a minor.

The popular streamer, born Guy Beahm, returned to streaming on YouTube to deny any claims that he sent explicit messages or images to a minor. “I’ll say it again — neither I, nor the Twitch user, exchanged any sexually graphic messages or images,” he said.

Dr. Disrespect questioned his audience about the content of their messages they’ve sent to others in an effort to get them to understand his situation. “Mutual bantering with inappropriate jokes taken out of context should’ve never led to me getting banned from Twitch in the first place,” he said. “How would each of you feel if all of your private DMs or text messages were dissected or looked at and taken out of context by someone who's deliberately trying to find something inappropriate in those words?” he said.

He lashed out angrily at Twitch for banning him, saying, “We’re talking about allegations that Twitch made against me as a half-baked reason for justifying their actions of suspending and shutting down my channel. Allegations that Twitch made without even a legal analysis of whether the Whisper messages were legal!”

Dr. Disrespect’s new stream comes a few months after YouTube suspended monetization of his channel for “violating our Creator Responsibility policy” following the “serious allegations against the creator.”

The ban came just two days after Rolling Stone published an investigative article about Dr. Disrespect’s serious accusations from 2020 — that multiple sources confirmed the sexual nature of the streamer’s messages to the minor who asked her her plans for attending TwitchCon.

That same month, Dr. Disrespect posted a lengthy statement about the situation on X, admitting to having the conversation with the minor but denying any sexual advances. “Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes,” he wrote. “Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more."

He then added that he might be morally culpable for the situation.

"Now, from a moral standpoint I'll absolutely take responsibility. I should have never entertained these conversations to begin with. That's on me,” he wrote. “That's on me as an adult, a husband and a father. It should have never happened. I get it. I’m not perfect and I’ll fucking own my shit. This was stupid."
