Deadpool & Wolverine is officially the biggest R-rated film of all time.

It officially surpassed the previous record held by Joker at the global box office this past week, with $1.086 billion in box office sales compared to the latter’s $1.078 billion.

It took just 23 days for Deadpool & Wolverine to break this record. Ever since the movie came out in July, it’s been a smash success. In its opening weekend alone, it earned $205 million — making it, at the time, the eighth-best debut of all time.

Since the release of the movie, Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, has been shouting his praises for his co-stars on Instagram.

For Channing Tatum, who plays the part of Gambit in a fun cameo moment, Reynolds gave a glowing endorsement — practically begging for movie studios to give the hero his own movie.

"Gambit is a guy Chan was born to play," wrote Reynolds. "His story is similar to my road on Deadpool — in that Chan spent a decade trying to put the most comic-accurate version of Gambit on the big screen."

"Remy LeBeau is grafted to his soul and needs to come out and deal," he continued. "Some characters can only exist with a one-in-a-billion pairing, and this is it. Gambit found his author in Chan."

Similarly for Chris Evans, who reprises his role as Human Torch in the movie, Reynolds dedicated a post to how awesome he is, too.

“Chris is one of those movie stars who’s actually better than you hope he is,” wrote Reynolds. “And people hold him to a crazy high standard. He’s just the absolute best.”

As Deadpool & Wolverine continues to become even bigger, it’s even brought back one of NSYNC’s biggest hits to the Billboard Hot 100.

NSYNC’s “Bye Bye Bye” appears in the film’s opening scene and has inspired fans on TikTok to do the “Deadpool Dance Challenge.” Because of it, the track most recently hit the No. 42 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
