Colin Jost Forced to Read Jokes About Scarlett Johansson on 'SNL'

He swapped jokes with Michael Che and had to crack jokes about... roast beef.

As part of a years-long tradition, Colin Jost was forced to tell jokes at his wife Scarlett Johansson’s expense on Saturday Night Live.

Jost, who is a co-host on the program’s “Weekend Update” segment with Michael Che, swapped jokes with the latter like they do for the final episode of every year.

Since Johansson appeared on the show last night, Che decided to include her in a few of the jokes that Jost would have to say—leading to Jost hilariously being nearly unable to finish them.

The bit first started out with Jost explaining that he’d have to “read all the jokes in ‘Black voice’ so I don’t get in trouble,” which, was undoubtedly, by Che’s design.

After a joke about Kamala Harris supporting slavery reparations, Jost read aloud, “Well, damn girl, me too. Because white people deserve our money back for all those slaves that ran away.”

After cracking up with laughter, Jost was then subjected to seeing Scarlett Johnansson’s picture on his screen reading the following: “I want to dedicate this next joke to my boo, Scarlett Johansson.”

The camera then cut to Johansson backstage watching the segment looking nervous while laughing about what Jost would say next.

“Y’all know Scarlett just celebrated her 40th birthday, which means I’m about to get up out of there,” joked the co-host between fits of laughter.

Jost then followed up with a joke about their son, Cosmo, who was born in 2021.

“We just had a kid together, and y’all ain’t see no pictures of him yet, because he’s Black as hell,” he said.

That wasn’t the end, though. Jost had to get even wilder when reading a joke about Costco beef.

While Jost had it pretty rough, he made sure to return the favor to Che who had his own fair share of jokes to recite that included references to Moana, Jeffrey Epstein, Jay-Z, and Diddy.
