'Breaking Bad' House Can Be Yours for $4 Million

Live where Walter White conducted his (fictional) business.

The iconic home of Walter White from Breaking Bad is officially up for sale.

The house in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is currently on the market for $4 million, which is much higher than Zillow’s estimated $343,000 price tag.

So what do you get for that $4 million? The home is 190–square feet with four bedrooms and one bathroom. It has central air and a swimming pool — plus the knowledge that you’re living where fictional high school teacher turned meth dealer Walter White conducted his business.

Speaking to TMZ, listing agent David Christensen explained that the home, that was built in 1972, remains a popular destination for fans of the TV series that’s widely considered to be one of the best series of all time. Its owners estimate that around 300 cars drive by every day just to get a look at where all the action went down.

The series ended in 2013 and the property became gated due to fans throwing pizza at the roof of the house in homage to a scene from an episode where Walter does the exact same thing. So count that as something else that could come with the house if you were to purchase it.

Local Albuquerque news station KOB4 spoke to the home’s owner, Joanne Quintana, who detailed the moment that their lives changed in 2006 when someone knocked on their door to inquire about the home.

“My mother never ever answers the door, and she did,” said Quintana. They introduced themselves and handed her a card and said, ‘We would like to use your house for a pilot.’ And she’s like, ‘You want to buy a bridge in Brooklyn? What are you talking about?’”

“We were, like anybody, it’s a once in a lifetime thing,” she continued. "You got to meet the actors, the actresses, you got to see how they set up the equipment and what it all takes.”

Quintana also spoke a bit about her memories being around actors like Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul. “What was funny was Bryan Cranston could not eat not one cookie,” said Quintana. “Because he had cancer in the show, so he was losing weight. So he would pass, but everybody, all the directors, all the writers would eat the cookies.”

“The last day of shooting, he takes a picture holding my mom’s biscotti because he finally got to eat her cookies. Aaron Paul had to grunt and get angry to get into his character of Jesse. That was awesome. And the magic of Hollywood, nobody will ever get to experience what we did.”
