Since its series premiere in 2013, Showtime's Masters of Sex has reignited conversations on sex and general intimacy — to proverbial watercooler chatter and beyond. Loosely based on the Thomas Maier book Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the Couple Who Taught America How to Love, the critically adored series stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan — skilled actors practically dripping with onscreen chemistry in all the right ways.
The third season's key art lays the speculation-proving groundwork further cemented by the new trailer (above), a playful dance around the very real possibility of a three-way dabbling shared by Dr. Masters (Sheen), Johnson (Caplan), and Libby Masters (Caitlin Fitzgerald):
If you're really awful at deciphering double entendres, the poster above is referencing the simultaneous orgasm of the three featured characters. At any rate, Masters of Sex returns to complicate your sex life on July 12.
