Sadly, the world still awaits news on whether or not Vin will actually step in to direct one or all three of the final 'Fast & Furious' films.

With billions (!) of dollars potentially at stake, the slow and curious hype surrounding the future of the Fast & Furious franchise has bubbled over into the everyday lives of people all across the globe. How is someone supposed to carry on with their mundane work duties while the status of Furious 8 remains frustratingly vague? When rumors started to swirl earlier this month regarding a possible home in the director's chair for official Fast & Furious spokesman and Iron Giant sequel teaser Vin Diesel, all signs pointed to an increasingly contentious behind-the-scenes vibe for the remainder of the ridiculously lucrative franchise.

Surely sensing that vibe, Diesel took to Facebook to offer some (still relatively vague) reassurance that Furious 8 is most definitely still coming (in 2017?). In fact, Diesel confirmed that he's currently working on "one last trilogy" to end the franchise, presumably beginning with Furious 8. "My producing partner Neal [Moritz] would love for me to just sign off on a director," Diesel revealed, "but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled."

I think I speak for everyone when I say: Let Woody Allen tackle the final three Fast & Furious films, Vin.
