Timothée Chalamet, fresh off skipping the 2026 Met Gala, leads the cast for what’s presumed to be a new Adidas campaign for the upcoming World Cup.
“TMRW MY SOCC- FOOTBALL DREAMS COME TRUE!” the Oscar-nominated Marty Supreme actor told fans on Instagram on Wednesday (May 6) when sharing the clip, which also features Bad Bunny and Lionel Messi, among other familiar faces.
“What do I know about soccer? Nothing,” Chalamet is heard saying on a call to Benito in the newly released clip. “I know about football, Benito. Football.”
The pace picks up from there, all while numerous stars of the sport—including David Beckham, Ousmane Dembélé, Zinedine Zidane, Trinity Rodman, and more—are featured.
The film trailer-style clip hints at what will mark Chalamet’s official debut as an Adidas partner. On Thursday (May 7), we can expect more from this pairing, including, presumably, the full video.
Amid global Marty Supreme promo last December, Chalamet revealed in a BBC Sport Scotland interview that he would be pulling for France and the U.S. at this year’s World Cup. Chalamet, it’s worth pointing out, is a dual citizen of both countries.
“My allegiance, somehow, is to two countries, not even one,” he said at the time.
This December, Chalamet is back as Paul Atreides in Denis Villeneuve’s third Dune film, joined by Zendaya and Florence Pugh. We’ve already said it once, but it’s worth saying again: Chalamet should absolutely go full villain for the film’s rollout.
