Watch the New Teaser for Marvel Studios' ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

Ahead of its theatrical release this July, Marvel has given fans a new teaser for Taika Waititi's hotly anticipated ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’.

Marvel fans were handed a fresh look atThor: Love and Thunder on Monday.

“These hands were once used for battle, now they’re but humble tools for peace. I need to figure out exactly who I am,” viewers are told in a newly released teaser featuring the 1988 Guns N’ Roses single “Sweet Child o’ Mine.”

Above, catch the new teaser for the Taika Waititi-directed sequel to 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. The MCU Phase Four entry hits theaters on July 8. Once again leading the latest expansion of the Marvel Comics character’s cinematic depiction is star Chris Hemsworth. Also featured in the Monday-released teaser are Chris Pratt, Tessa Thompson, and our first look at Natalie Portman’s Lady Thor.

As with a number of films over the past three years, Thor: Love and Thunder was initially slated for an earlier release but pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In Waititi’s own wordsLove and Thunder marks “the craziest thing” he’s ever done as a filmmaker. Echoing that promise in comments to Empire in July, the writer/director/actor said this is indeed the “craziest” movie he’s ever made.

“If you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn’t make sense,” he said at the time. “It’s almost like it shouldn’t be made.”

Also on Waititi’s 2022 agenda is the sports movie Next Goal Wins, starring Michael Fassbender as Dutch American soccer coach Thomas Rongen.
