Despite my best efforts, it would appear nostalgia is indeed deep into the process of claiming a new round of victims. Over the weekend, 10 former stars of the admittedly great American version of The Office got together at producer Greg Daniels' house and promptly shared the photos to prove it.
"Some of the old gang got together today," Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin Schrute on NBC's adaptation of Ricky Gervais' original BBC Two series, said Sunday. Kinsey, who recently starred in Fresh Off the Boat and Haters Back Off, compared the nostalgic hang to a full-on "family reunion."
Jenna Fischer (a.k.a. Pam Beesly Halpert) explained in her own post Sunday that the photo was meant as a makeshift recreation of a certain Office moment. Ed Helms, Rainn Wilson, Creed Bratton, Paul Lieberstein, Brian Baumgartner, Leslie David Baker, Phyllis Smith, and Oscar Nunez also made it to the gathering. Steve Carell, John Krasinski, and Craig Robinson were among those who were absent. Fischer, however, suggested the group would be seeing them all again soon.

Back in October, Carell said the climate's not right for a Michael Scott return, not to mention the fact that he reveres his work on the series too much to risk diluting the legacy. "There was something so special about it, and I guess it's an odd way to put it, but I love it too much to ever want to do it again," he toldTime. "It's too special to me in my heart in that period of time."
However, Carell followed those comments with a Saturday Night Live hosting gig that featured cameos from several aforementioned Office co-stars.
Surely there's an appropriately meta way to put together a one-off holiday special, with Michael Scott's noted Michael Scottness firmly intact?
